Main uses of garnet
1. Sandblasting: moderate hardness, high bulk density, no free silica, large specific gravity, good toughness, it is an ideal “environmental” sandblasting material;
2. Free grinding: used for free grinding in the fields of picture tubes, optical glass, single crystal silicon, lenses, jade and other fields;
3. Resin abrasive tool: It has suitable color, good hardness, toughness, suitable particle section type and edge retention. It can be used as a filler to replace 20%-30% brown corundum in resin abrasive tools, and the effect is ideal;
4. Coated abrasive: it is the raw material for manufacturers of sandpaper and gauze;
5. Functional fillers: can be used as wear-resistant materials for building highway roads, airstrips, docks, parking lots, etc.;
6. Filter medium: Granular garnet is used as the bottom medium of the filter bed to purify drinking water or waste water.
7. Hydraulic cutting: It uses abrasive as cutting medium and relies on high-pressure hydraulic jet for basic cutting.
