How to judge the quality of garnet with the simplest way
(1) Comparison of lust in the sand
Pomegranate sand abrasive itself is purple -red or brown -red. If it is found green, gray -white, and black substances, it is impurities. The amount of impurities means the purity of pomegranate sand abrasives. At present, the common impurities of domestic pomegranate sand abrasives are green podium, green mud, long stones (gray -white), Yunmu film (black) and titanium iron ore (black)
(2) Comparison of water washing effect
Because the domestic pomegranate sand abrasive is a transparent glass, take 30 grams of pomegranate sand abrasive sample, add 80 ml of water, roughly the sample volume: the amount of water adding = 1: 4, after stirring, see if the water is turbid. If it is slightly white, it means that the grinding of the pomegranate sand contains low mud amount and has a water washing process. If the water solution is found, it means that the amount of mud contains is slightly higher. If the aqueous solution is yellow or turbid No water washing.
