80 mesh is the global standard garnet for waterjet cutting.
It balances cutting speed and edge finish, used for 90% of common jobs including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, stone and composite materials.
- 60 mesh: Coarser grain, faster cutting for thick plate and rough stock removal, rougher cutting surface.
- 80 mesh: All‑purpose grade, the most popular choice for general fabrication.
- 120 mesh: Finer grain delivers a narrow kerf and smooth edge, so it is ideal for thin sheet, glass and intricate precision parts; however, the cutting speed is lower.
